Car review on FORD GRAND TORINO SPORT

The redesigned Torino became a single model series in 1972 split into just two options:the base and Grand Torino. While not as sharp-looking as their previous incarnations, they had the trademark muscle-car swept-back roofline and the classic formula of a V8 engine mounted up front and driving the rear wheels. This modified version has received a 351 ci (5.75-litre) Cleveland V8, now displacing 357 ci (5.8 litres) thanks to a rebore. Fitted are high compression pistons, modified heads, a high-lift cam, roller rockers (for increased rpm use) and electronic ignition. The car has received changes in the suspension, too, with lowered springs and uprated shocks. Along with modern radial tyres on wide Magnum 500 optional rims, they make the Torino far better than the standard car at taking corners. Inside it sports a multi-gauge dash and a modern sound system.
